@AlexHollings52 I think you’re obfuscating the point that these experts and war coverage as a whole rarely ever accurately represents the whims of the public. Everyone has a bias, identifying how these bias’ are incentivized only helps media literacy no?

Sigh... listen, I hate TV news, and the pundits they trot out to make predictions often don't know what they're talking about. But the idea that you can't trust Defense experts with ties to the military industrial base is no different than saying you can't trust doctors because they have ties to big pharma. How do you think most Defense experts develop expertise in their fields? By working in them.
