Looking forward to a great year for agriculture in 2017. Excited to test out some new ideas.

Planted our first corn plot today. Soil had more moisture than I wanted but still worked well.

With corn planting before rain is better than planting after rain as long as the temperatures at rainfall time don't fall into the low 30s.

Well, looks like the end of this week offers a good opportunity to start corn planting for sandy soils.

Clarification - the powerpoint slide said, "a break in mid-March." Which we had.

I accurately predicted the rain that is coming this week.

Wheat is at the joint stage. Time to get nitrogen on ASAP if you haven't already done so.
