@RuthCadbury @tourismsvoice @PennyMordaunt Our thriving local pub had to close for the very same reason, that and stingily high business rates. A pub is not just somewhere to have a pint it’s a vital heart of a community. Loneliness is a killer and in our rural communities its a real problem.

The Royal Oak in Isleworth is a much loved community pub. However, they’re under huge pressure because of the high cost of their fixed energy contract. They're now facing having to close. I raised there case in Parliament last week & welcomed the answer from @PennyMordaunt
