Finally, a breather from major severe weather across much of the U.S.! 🌪️ The season isn’t over, but for the next few days, it looks like we’ve passed the most active systems of the week.

24 hours ago, so many of us watched live streams of tornadoes tear through Illinois and Indiana. The damage is heart-wrenching to see, and in times like this, one of the best ways we know how to respond is simply to get to work.

⚠️ If you’re in Illinois or Indiana, consider keeping this livestream on in the background tonight. Severe storms are moving through the region and tornadoes have already been reported. Live stream: youtube.com/watch?v=d6H9Ub…

It feels like an early start to the spring tornado season. Tornadoes usually peak in Illinois and Michigan from May through July, so seeing them touch down now—like the ones last week in southern Michigan or the setup today across Illinois—isn’t typical.

Quick heads up to our friends in MO, IL and IN. Tuesday night could bring tornadoes. Take a few min to make sure you have a plan in case warnings are issued and that your weather alerts are turned on. Stay safe and weather aware, friends. youtube.com/watch?v=C5zm06…

We’re in Michigan helping after 4 tornadoes hit several small communities. An EF-3 tornado here is rare, the damage has taken many by surprise. There were many injuries & sadly some lives lost. Grateful to see volunteers coming from near and far to help these communities recover

We're heading out into some Tennessee country roads to help folks lift massive trees off their homes with a crane truck. Four days after the ice storm, trees, roads, and driveways are still iced over—brutally cold out here. Wish us luck!

We are out here working alongside Tennessee Rangers Dee and Randy, chainsaws in hand, cutting trees off homes after a devastating ice storm hit Middle Tennessee, causing trees to literally break apart. It's the worst ice storm to hit this area since 1994 #icestormrecovery

1 yr ago, Helene hit NC mtns. Our team was there, running equipment & helping families start the cleanup so they could rebuild. The strength and spirit of those we met still inspire us—folks we now call friends, fighting to reclaim their lives. Miss you and hold you in our hearts

Relief! 15" rain down to 2! Humberto’s pulling Imelda out to sea, sparing the Carolinas. Rare Fujiwhara effect—storms dancing! On the 1-yr mark of Helene’s scars (9/26/24), it’s a blessing. Team’s ready if needed. Prep tips? 💙 #HurricaneImelda #Humberto #CarolinasStrong

One of the greatest gifts of volunteering is the people you meet. You show up to serve and leave with lifelong friends. Dee showed up with his own equipment to help strangers. People like him remind us that kindness is alive — and that’s what keeps us going.

We didn’t expect to hear laughter. Not here. Not today. But 8 boys showed up—muddy boots, full hearts—just to help. Disaster reveals two things: those who’ve lost, and those who need to give. These boys reminded us that even now, there’s hope. 💛

The First Response Team of America @firstresponse is on the ground in Texas where they have been searching for people (flood) since Saturday They volunteer their time and equipment and work alongside friends and families of those who are lost, searching for any signs of life and bringing closure to families who are looking for and wondering where their loved ones are My wife and I have donated money to FRTA for many years. Tad Agoglia is a “@CNN Hero” and has dedicated his life to being a “First Responder”: donate money below if you can or feel compelled to: [I just donated this minute, so the link works] firstresponseteam.org

@phil_hellmuth Phil, your huge cash donation just came through, wow! This is going to buy a lot of Diesel Fuel for our equipment. Thank you so much for always being there for us, year after year, when help is needed.

When disaster strikes, the Ledwell Family of Companies shows up—no hesitation. After floods hit their home state, Ledwell Machinery donated a compact loader + grapple to speed up cleanup. They reminded us: kindness gives people hope. 💛 Thank you, Ledwell.

We’re grateful to work alongside volunteers from Texarkana’s Restoration of Hope—men who’ve faced homelessness, incarceration & mental illness. They said: “We want to give back to society, not take from it.” This is hope in action. 🙏 restorationofhopes.com

One thing I’ve seen time and time again—when disaster strikes, Americans show up. No hesitation. No second thoughts. Just people dropping everything to help those who are hurting. It’s who we are. It’s the American way youtube.com/watch?v=b5k-91…

We’re on the ground in Kerr County, Texas, where a devastating flood from the Guadalupe River hit just after July 4th. Families search through debris with quiet determination, hoping to find loved ones. Please keep Kerr County in your hearts and prayers
