[Furscience comes to JMoF] Furscience is an interdisciplinary team that studies furries from a psychological and sociological perspective. They will conduct their first field research in Asia at #JMoF2025 . A Japanese survey will also be available this time, so you can participate even if you only speak Japanese! In addition, a real scientist from the team will attend JMoF and hold an event where they will explain their history and results, as well as answer your questions about their activities and research. @_Holly_Fox Chapter 20 for therianthropy et al., and Chapter 24 is very sociological insofar as identity and theory goes--more furry generally than otherkin et al., specifically, but it's just the beginning...more to come!

The rise of therian, otherkin, and alterhumans in the furry fandom in the last decade should be sociologically studied.
