@cgkedu Yes, the cravings disappeared really. I eat sweet things now but not nearly as much as I did before. If the sweet stuff intake increases you can always reset again but it will be much easier. Doing it for the first time is tough, cos, well, sugar…

@cgkedu All to do with the gut biome. If we eat lots of a certain type of food, this encourages the growth of bacteria that like that food. When we stop eating that type of food, the bacteria diminish and we lose the cravings. It’s the bacteria screaming for choc! cam.ac.uk/stories/microb…

@cgkedu 2 weeks for me. Couple of years ago, I gave up all sugary stuff, choc, cake, biscuits (I didn’t eat sweets) and it took 2 wks to lose the cravings. I replaced sugary stuff with savoury stuff I liked + wine! It was a reset for my craving levels. Plus fruit then tasted incredible.
