@pee_rsp Ooh Nne, I have some at home too but I'll always buy fresh things and it's costly. That benchmark of 500 for pepper is what's paining me the most.

The recent news from Maiduguri, Borno State, is profoundly upsetting. I mourn those who lost their lives, sympathise with the injured and stand in solidarity with the people of Borno during this challenging time. I want to make it categorically clear that these acts of terror are the final desperate and frantic attempts by criminals and terrorist elements trying to instil and spread fear, as they are under constant pressure from our brave armed forces and security agencies operating in various theatres. We will continue to intensify our efforts against all criminal elements, wherever they may be. I must commend the courage and fighting spirit of our patriotic troops who successfully repelled the coordinated attacks by these terrorists on military positions in the state. The Monday attacks were desperate acts of the evil-minded terrorist groups. Our gallant military and civilian task forces will curtail and put them down. Just last weekend, during a security meeting with leaders of security and intelligence agencies, I approved additional equipment and operational support to enhance their capabilities. This effort is already in progress. Additionally, I have directed security chiefs to move to Maiduguri to take charge of the situation. I have also directed the emergency agencies to provide proper care for the injured. There is no place in Nigeria where terrorists will find safety. We will locate them, confront them, and completely defeat them. Nigeria will not succumb to fear. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria

@SadiqMaunde @droayung You'd think everyone would agree that this government isn't working and the right thing to do is vote them out but you'll still see people defending this calamity of a government

@tha_secret_guy @Crypto_Diet @PeterObi If he doesn't he will be voted out, right now there's no margin for error. The people doing it now are doing a terrible job and need to be voted out. Four years should be enough for any serious person to do something.

Dear Peter Obi, @PeterObi I’ll go straight to the point. Right now, millions of Nigerians are not chasing luxury or a soft life. Many people are simply trying to survive the week. Food prices keep rising. Transport fares keep increasing. Rent keeps going up. But salaries and small business income remain almost the same. There are families in Nigeria today where eating three proper meals a day has quietly become a luxury and many barely eat one square meal daily. A father wakes up at 5am to hustle, yet still struggles to put food on the table. A mother goes to the market and returns home with less than half of what she used to buy with the same money. Young graduates search for jobs for years while the cost of living keeps climbing. This is the daily reality for many people across Nigeria. The average Nigerian isn’t asking for miracles. People are simply asking for an economy where hard work actually pays off again. An economy where: 1. A salary can feed a family. 2. A small business can grow without being crushed by costs. 3. Young people can plan their future without constant financial fear. Nigeria is a country filled with talent, energy, and ambition. But potential alone does not put food on the table. The real question many Nigerians are asking today is simple: How do we rebuild an economy where the average citizen can live with dignity again? Because when people can eat well, work well, and plan their future with confidence, the entire nation moves forward. Nigeria deserves that kind of economy. Be honest: When was the last time your income comfortably covered food, transport, and rent in one month without stress? 🇳🇬

I once had a female friend from abuja who only ever texted me late at night. Not sometimes… almost every night. Usually midnights. During the day she barely replied to messages, and if she did, it was always short replies like “I’m busy” or “I’ll text later.” But once it was late at night, she suddenly became very talkative. At first I thought she's just amongst those who prefer night texting...but this pattern continued....
