🚨ALERT!🚨 There’s a new variation of extortion. Fraudsters are sending emails with a letter (see image below); if you call the phone number in the letter, fraudsters will ask for your SIN and threaten that if you don’t send funds immediately, you’ll be arrested. This is a scam!

I joined CrossFit recently. Haven’t had much time with the amount of time work consumes, so its nice to discover I can get a great warmup and workout within an hour. It’s a great feeling knowing I’m working on conditioning my heart again.

If PM Trudeau truly believes in tying federal health transfers to conditions - as he’s repeatedly stated - he’ll tell Doug Ford and every other premier he’ll withhold federal dollars right now unless they back down from this direct threat to public healthcare. 2/2

This is a straight violation of the Canada Health Act. Extra billing, line-jumping, preferential medical access to private, for-profit care for the wealthy is diametrically opposed to the principles of public universal healthcare. 1/2

Serious question: When our public healthcare system is collapsing from causes like understaffing…why is the Ontario government expanding private for-profit health care, when this will pull health workers away from the public system...and make understaffing even worse?

The fact that the Ontario government watched our public healthcare system collapse due to underfunding...but set aside public funding just so they could invest in private for-profit healthcare…tells you everything you need to know about their priorities.

But it was not. For hours I was trying to find out why it was generating weirdly. I found the actual problem in the dark AM hours and it didn’t involve what I thought it was at all. Anyway this is all gibberish. Just dev life.

Spent 3 days working on a bug that involves Date, timezones, and rrules. It was not fun. It was difficult to debug due to seeing wrong UTC time for dates that I needed to compare. This ended up being a local development error where things SEEMED fine/working.

Burnout is contagious. It creates both upstream and downstream implications for everyone involved. So, how can you prevent burnout? Set healthy boundaries.

Still staying unplugged today because mental health wise I feel like all I did was take a 30min nap as opposed to having 4days off lol

This week I planned to take a trip for my vacation but last Friday I discovered I had covid. I’m glad I’m alive w 2+1 booster, but I still had a p bad week. Converted the vacay to half sick days because I couldn’t stay awake more than 4h/day at the start…

Don’t you love it when all you’re missing is an “await” and it drives you mad why your code isn’t working 😭
