Deep diving on Saturday Night Fever: Since the Bee Gees were not involved in the production until after principal photography had wrapped, the "Night Fever", "You Should Be Dancin'" and "More Than a Woman" sequences were shot with Stevie Wonder tracks that were later overdubbed!

Music fans rarely clock the impact of effects pedals. One pedal often created almost the entire sound of a band/song/album. U2 with Echoplex, Jimmy Page with fuzz, OK Computer with Space Echo, Purple Rain with chorus pedal, John Lennon vox with slapback (tape delay), etc.

People used to hold up lighters at concerts and wave them but now we all just light up our cell phones and pretend that’s the same thing as actual fire when it really isn’t but also I guess everyone back then was dying of lung cancer, so I guess life is full of tradeoffs.

The antidote to the manosphere was PBS when I was growing up: Rick Steves, Wayne Dyer, Bob Ross, Bill Moyers, McNeil/Lehrer, Bill Nye, Mr. Rogers, etc. Smart, interesting men who never once felt the need to show you their Lambo.
