Want to learn about the power of stable isotopes to investigate plant C-use strategies and responses to environmental change?! Come work with us! 10 days left to apply! Can't make the deadline? Send us an email!

Interested in stable isotope physiology? Want to know how plants have metabolically responded to environ change? 📢We're recruiting a PhD student to investigate the environ and biochemical factors that shape d2H of plant cellulose! App. deadline Dec 10: bit.ly/PhD-IsoPhys

I'm hiring a postdoc to work on a new project to redesign the 3D geometry of leaf cells to influence photosynthetic capacity. You'll join a team of scientists with the longterm goal of drawing down atmospheric CO2 with the help of plants. Details:tinyurl.com/y5lsbq6n

Excited to be leading this project. First, getting experiments sown this spring! Not much time, so much to do. Sowing treatments advantaging legumes in mixed sward pasture renovations and re-establishing legumes in grass dominant swards in low-med rainfall sheep grazing zone
TIA@TasInAg

@DrRWSmith is leading a $1.5 million @meatlivestock project to boost Tassie’s red meat industry! The project will identify & establish perennial legume species that can persist to fill feed gaps & improve tolerance & productivity under waterlogging. bit.ly/34vlw8E

I have a joke about stable isotopes - would you prefer the lighter or the heavier version?

Wondering why mature leaves are depleted in 13C compared to expanding leaves? What does it mean for interpreting WUE and global gross primary production? Check out our new paper led by Nara Vogado, with Klaus Winter,@GrahamDFarquhar and @LucasCernusak academic.oup.com/aob/article/do…

For a really great overview on the importance of the circadian clock for understanding seasonal fluxes in CO2 and water vapour in natural settings and for improving crop performance, check out: sciencedirect.com/science/articl… @rescodedios
