I’m flying the #flag of the #US 🇺🇸 state of #Maryland for its #StatehoodDay having become the 7th state of the #USA on 28th April, 1788. One of my favourite US state flags it’s a banner of arms dating from the 1600s of Cecil Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore. Flag from @mrflag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

I’m flying the #flag of #Uruguay 🇺🇾 for the recent anniversary of the Return of the 33 Patriots. On 19th April, 1825, the 33 exiled Uruguayan revolutionaries returned from Argentina to successfully win Uruguay’s independence from Brazil, recognised in 1828. Flag from @mrflag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

On this date, in 1933, Western Australia voted overwhelmingly (66% - 33%) to leave the Commonwealth of Australia and return to being a British colony. The decision of the referendum has never been implemented.

I’m flying the #flag of @NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, for the recent anniversary of the signing of the treaty. On 4th April, 1949, twelve nations (🇧🇪🇨🇦🇩🇰🇫🇷🇮🇸🇮🇹🇱🇺🇳🇱🇳🇴🇵🇹🇬🇧🇺🇸) signed the treaty in Washington DC. NATO now has 32 member nations. Flag from @mrflag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.
