Finally, definitive proof that Roblox used AI for their heads. Thank you for bringing attention to this. I'd like to know why Roblox's own employees resorted to AI for the face conversions? Are they incapable of doing this work themselves? Not that it should be particularly difficult for a multibillion dollar company to find and hire competent people. The failed dynamic conversions have sent ripple effects through Roblox like I have never seen before. Now I'm hearing talk about someone launching a lawsuit over the botched conversions. REMINDER: Roblox is forcing creators of 2D static heads to update all of their heads to be dynamic, or have the item taken off sale. There are many creators that face losing significant income, or all of their income over this. Roblox themselves cannot properly do the work they are forcing creators to do. Let that sink in. Brazil's authoritarian age verification law became active this month. It won't be implemented by GrapheneOS. Complying would require integrating a mandatory process for each user where a third party service checks government identification and confirms a match using the camera.

@LundukeJournal Unfortunately Brazil, ANPD won't accept that, irrc they banned age attestation. I've also heard that ANPD is trying to make an API themselves to "help" everyone, but I'd never accept it in my system, I'd immediately remove it

Moderators of the r/Linux subreddit are now censoring posts which talk about Age Verification. Not only are posts being removed, but I’ve heard from multiple Reddit users who have been banned from r/Linux for expressing opposition to Age Verification.

@LundukeJournal It's because nobody's integrated age verification into Linux. It's age attestation. And it's the most ridiculously simple thing. Literally just type any number in, and you're done.

Brazil's Digital ECA bans self-declared age and demands "auditable" verification instead. Then Article 37 of the same law mandates privacy. Those two things cannot both be true. Brazil passed a law that requires exactly what it forbids, and platforms are already collecting face scans or ID to comply...

The data reportedly includes full names, emails, phone numbers with country codes (Yemen, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt, etc.), dates of birth, national ID card numbers, passport numbers, driving license numbers, residence permit numbers, and cryptocurrency exchange account IDs (Binance/OKEx). The threat actor frames the leak as activism, criticizing system administrators for privacy negligence.

I really suggest you speak to Vivo if you haven't already. They (alongside Claro) have been notorious for having problems with the Roblox platform for years. No one on Vivo can play, unlike other carriers, which only experience occasional severe lag. 🧵[4/5]
