Wolfdogs Secures CS Advancement Mizumachi Taito: “This season, I’ve been watching from the referee’s platform…" The Wolfdogs Nagoya of the Volleyball SV League Men’s division secured their advancement to the Championship Series (CS), contested by the top 6 teams from the regular season, with a 3–0 victory over Nippon Steel Sakai on April 4 at Kanaoka Park Gymnasium in Sakai City. After the match, a press conference was held with three players: Miyaura Kento, Ichikawa Kenta, and Mizumachi Taito. Having lost in the semifinals of last season’s CS to Suntory, the players expressed their strong determination. The main exchanges from the three players at the press conference are as follows. **“It’s not about last season or anything like that”** **** **Mizumachi:** First of all, I’m glad we won and were able to clinch the playoffs (CS). However, personally, there are still many areas that are lacking — especially in the beginning of the match — if we want to win in the playoffs. I want to fix those points and do my best. **Ichikawa:** I think the key to victory was our stable gameplay with very few mistakes overall. Moving forward to the playoffs, there are definitely some small adjustments and improvements we need to make, but winning solidly today will give us confidence going into the next matches. **Miyura:** We were able to play relatively stably and carry that through until the end, which was good. There are still some challenges, so we’ll work on eliminating them and aim to play good matches in the playoffs.
