In CA you can use deadly force in your home or business against an intruder but outside your home you can not to protect your property or possessions unless there is an imminent threat of death. The land owner was blocking them from retreating and illegally held them at gunpoint, even if they cut his gate. He is very much screwed, will do jail time, lose his gun rights for life, and those guys could have used deadly force against him and it would have been justified. That is one of the stupidest shootings I have ever seen. At his age he just threw his whole life away

Anyone have the full story here? We know this happened today 1/14 in the Vail Lake area just outside Temecula, California. Seems like someone was riding on private property and a land owner didn’t like it?? Sounds like shots are fired and hit the cage even.
