I've never heard someone say: "The networking was great. The talks were insightful. The people were ambitious. But there was just too much energy." Makes no sense.

Remote work is the biggest scam sold to Indian developer. You're not free. You're not living your best life. You're just cheap labour for US companies. They pay you ₹25-40 LPA. Meanwhile they pay their local developers 3-4 times more. No office means no visibility. No politics. No real promotions. No real equity. And you sit in a dark 2BHK. Back to back meetings all day. Your onsite batchmate is already making more than you.

My dude just straight up deleted his X account after weeks of nonstop hate. He’s literally one of the nicest guys I know and wasn’t even posting anything controversial. This app is lowkey chasing all the good people away, smh.

No, this is not true. 40LPA is crazy money. Yes its cheap labour for them but you are also living in India not working from us there is PPP. They pay their local developers more because they work from there and its according to expenses there. Your work always has visibility if you do it well and present it and promotions happen as well. And you can work from anywhere in the world, no need to sit in a dark room. Honestly its a steal deal but obviously it has to align with your dreams.

@nirajxdev Remote work pays Indian devs well without moving abroad. US salaries look higher, but our lower costs make ₹25-40 LPA a strong income here. It's not exploitation it's a useful option, though onsite can sometimes give faster growth.

@nirajxdev Remote work is not a scam Thinking proximity is the only path to opportunity is The real winners are not asking where they work from They are asking how much leverage they have

After giving 2 startup interviews in the last few days, I observed something. Companies are looking beyond technical knowledge alone. Both interviews focused heavily on my projects, how I approach problems, some technical questions, edge cases, production grade scenarios, and how quickly I could contribute to their product. They wanted someone who embraces AI, automates work, learns fast, adapts quickly to new AI technologies and helps the company grow along side a rapidly changing tech. The hiring question seems to be shifting from "how much do you know" to "how quickly can you learn, adapt, and deliver results".
