@karlynjane #1 is really important. Students need to use their University email for so many reasons, including their own privacy. As a prof, if you have certain discussions on their non-uni email, you could be in violation of lots of things. It may seem silly but it protects both of you.

I 10000000% agree with points 3 and 7-10, and I’d be curious to know how other academics feel about these tips. Do you expect your students to adhere to these norms?
