Biden did much to admire domestically but--& this is a mammoth "but"--his policy of attempting bipartisanship in a MAGA age, his reluctance to appoint an AG with the skill & temperament to prosecute the inciter of the Jan. 6 insurrection, to demonstrate to Americans the gravity of Jan. 6, has helped lead, or has directly led, us to the bitterly divided toxic fascist-adjacent/ oligarch-dominated country we are living in today.

I made a mistake. In my last post, I claimed that Turkey buys stolen Ukrainian grain and then sells it back to Ukrainians. Turkey does buy stolen grain from Russia, but there's no evidence that it sells that same grain back to Ukrainians. That post has been deleted. Posting that in haste (was extremely angry at the time) without first looking into it was poor judgment on my end. But the overall point still stands: Ukraine singled out Israel for doing what dozens of other countries - including Turkey, to whom it is moving closer - have done and were never condemned for. Zelenskyy is, perhaps knowingly, fanning the flames of anti-Israel sentiment/antisemitism to appease Western Europe along with his new Turkish allies. He absolutely deserves condemnation for that. You can't keep treating Israel like this without expecting at least some pushback. Israel has its own enemies (some of whom Ukraine are allied with) and its own existential threats to deal with. If Zelenskyy does not wish to be treated as an enemy, he needs to stop acting like one. Stop voting against Israel at the UN. Stop repeating the lies of Israel's enemies (including, y'know, Russia). Stop holding Israel to standards to which you hold no one else. Because Israelis/Jews are seeing this and, yes, they are becoming very pissed off. If you want to choose Turkey/Western Europe/Qatar over Israel, that's fine. But don't expect Israel to bend over backwards and strive for moral impeccability on your behalf either.

But Bernie isn’t a Democrat.

Hamas's criminality is not even the worst part. The worst part is performing this sajdah and implicating all of the religion of Islam and every Muslim. Why bring Islam into terrorism? Pray privately and celebrate your antisemitism away from Islam.
