The last time I was in London I saw a big sign outside an NGO's headquarters that showed some women from the Amazon rainforest and said "Protect Indigenous Peoples." (I failed to take a picture of the sign, to my great regret.) I found it highly curious to see such a sign in London, seeing as the indigenous people of the United Kingdom are being systematically and deliberately eliminated.

Dit houd je toch niet voor mogelijk? In Ghana, het land van de Ashanti behorend tot de grotere slavendrijvers/handelaren gemeenschappen uit de geschiedenis. (Enkelen van hen hebben ook in Nederland een enorm grote muil) De focus ligt natuurlijk weer op de trans-Atlantische slavenhandel, maar de afbeeldingen hieronder tonen waar het werkelijke accent hoort te liggen.
