The quality of our relationships is the single most important factor in determining how well we do in life. It's not our IQ, our education, or even our genes that matter most — it's the people we choose to connect with and invest in.

God and faith are not weird. My own relationship with the very real, living God and the realization that His ways are true is what saved my life back when I was suffering. And ever since then, He has sustained me, grown me, and led me into a life I never thought I could have.

My dad went home this week at age 92. This pic is from 10 yrs he spent in Zimbabwe as medical missionary w/ my mom. He loved God & people & exuded such warmth & joy. He also modeled integrity to me & my siblings. I was so blessed to be his daughter. See you in glory, Dad! ❤️ U

People do not always want to hear God’s views. It takes courage to speak God’s words to a society that has its own views, which may be very different to God’s.

The attitude that helps most with intense stress is not mindfulness. It’s hope. In hard times, it’s overwhelming to live only in the present. What brings strength is anticipating a brighter future. Resilience lies in remembering that today's burdens may be lighter tomorrow.

In May 1963, six months before he died, C. S. Lewis was interviewed in his office at Cambridge. At one point he was asked about his account in Surprised by Joy of his conversion, kicking and screaming, the most reluctant convert in all of England. The interviewer asked whether Lewis felt that he had made a real decision that day. Lewis responded: "I would not put it that way. What I wrote in Surprised by Joy was that 'before God closed in on me, I was in fact offered what now appears a moment of wholly free choice.' But I feel my decision was not so important. I was the object rather than the subject in this affair. I was decided upon. I was glad afterwards at the way it came out, but at the moment what I heard was God saying, 'Put down your gun and we'll talk.'" Interviewer: "That sounds to me as if you came to a very definite point of decision." Lewis: "Well, I would say that the most deeply compelled action is also the freest action. I chose, yet it really did not seem possible to do the opposite."

Two is twice as good as one, but one is infinitely better than zero. -One minute of making sales calls is infinitely better than zero minutes. -One minute of meditation is infinitely better than zero minutes. -One minute of writing is infinitely better than zero minutes. Sure, it might be ideal to spend an hour doing these things, but one minute gets you in the game. Now you're learning. Now you're improving. Now results are possible. One doesn't seem like much, but it's something real. At zero, you're still dreaming.

A healthy self-image is rooted in true humility — seeing yourself clearly and honestly. It recognizes your abilities and accomplishments while acknowledging your limitations and areas for growth.
