Reflections after the June 12th March of Disarmament ...I am here to move against leaving our shadows implanted on the earth while our bodies disintegrate in nuclear lightning; ...I am here because I shall not give the earth up to non-dreamers and earth molesters - Sonia Sanchez

Bridgett Davis, director of Naked Acts, is making a new short HELGA! A film in which I also have a role! 🖤 What happens to an artist’s soul when their work is overlooked for decades, then suddenly found? I’m proud to be part of this! Help us fund it: seedandspark.com/fund/helga

Today my team and I at @translashmedia launched Season 4 of our investigative series #AntiTransHateMachine. For over a year looked at how Christian Nationalist and authoritarian forces are working together to destroy public education from the inside out using anti-trans hate.

🚨Amaarae stands proudly Queer as she calls for national unity and Human rights in powerful statement to Ghana, via her Instagram story. “It’s so unfortunate to witness basic human rights being threatened and contested because some people have chosen to love differently. It is even more upsetting to see that this is coming from Ghana,a country once lauded for its peaceful nature & Kwame Nkrumah’s fierce vision of Pan-Africanism & freedom for All”

Transmisogny is bad because it kills trans women. Not because it affects other people, but because trans women are worthy and deserving of our allyship, respect, and resistance.

She Held Citizenship and Passports from Nine (9) Different Countries. When the apartheid government officially revoked her South African citizenship and banned her records in 1960, they attempted to render her a stateless person without a home or a voice. The international community responded with a stunning act of solidarity. To ensure she could travel the world freely as an ambassador of liberation, nine different countries, including Guinea, Algeria, Ghana, Belgium, and Cuba, granted her honorary citizenship. She traveled internationally carrying multiple diplomatic passports, effectively operating as a citizen of the world.
