@lilynonomiya Ha ha. Bunshun were reporting today that folk in the Kantei were moaning that it was a marketing ruse. They might be right.

The weather being up and down, 12° one moment and 26° the next, I have succumbed to my weakened immune system and caught a cold. Today I’ll be resting as much as possible, surrounded by cats, catered to by husband, and living on throat tea and Paburon.

@RupertLowe10 Erm. Lots of Brits live overseas without string language skills of the countries they work in. Are you saying that people shouldn’t take jobs outside the UK?

Under a Restore Britain Government, there will be no need for foreign language translation in the public sector because those foreigners unable to speak English living in our country will be removed.

A case of X's auto wrongly translating "Takaichi" into "Ishiba" that sort of makes sense: Japan's number of births from January to March 2026 was up 0.2% from the same period the previous year. However, babies born in those months were conceived when Ishiba was Prime Minister.

This “uniparty” line is nonsense. Labour and the Conservatives have been at loggerheads since I was born. Yes some folk have crossed over. But there is a clear left-right division.
Darren Grimes@darrengrimes

Restore Britain didn’t stand in Aberdeen South so the Tories would be unimpeded there, now they’re standing in Makerfield, attempting to split the vote in favour of Burnham and Labour. Is Rupert Lowe the greatest asset to the uniparty?

@GearoidReidy The Shibuya development/retail battle is a great story. Haven’t been to Hands for a while, guess Don Quixote and others have a better retail formula for this age.

Latest change coming to Shibuya: the iconic Hands store (née Tokyu Hands) is closing in November after 48 years in business. It follows the Seibu department store's announcement it'll close in September. Wars between the these stores' parent corporations were crucial in building modern Shibuya. news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/0ba1a…

Xi became vocal and agitated when discussing Japan, surprising US officials because the subject had not featured in talks with their Chinese counterparts before the summit. Several people said Xi’s verbal attack was the most heated part of the 2-day summit giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/ac…
