@redcliffelab People need to get their tests done yearly. I get 6 notifications from your app per DAY with no way to turn off promo push messages. I also keep getting emails and whatsapp messages every 2-3 days. I'll stop using redcliffe and block it completely if this keeps up.

@neoavatara Weirdly enough, Scrubs minus the weird humour remains one the most accurate medical shows I've ever seen. Nothing comes close to capturing the daily life and experience of working at a hospital like it. First watched it when I was an intern and it instantly seemed so relatable.

@jeremyjudkins_ I was just thinking about this. Been driving around in a Tesla model Y performance for a week and it's acceleration is ridiculous. Yesterday my cousin took me in his X7 m60i and the 0-60 in sport+ mode seemed so tame in comparison even though I would've loved it otherwise.

People always cared about having a quick car. Then suddenly 0-60 in 4 seconds was easily beat by literally every model of Tesla. Suddenly 0-60 doesn’t matter anymore for some reason. Interesting.

@DelusionPosting I see this post often but the one everyone misses is Subnautica. The entire game from alpha to early access relied heavily on player feedback and that's what made it good. That's also why below zero failed. They saw what the players liked and went in the opposite direction.

@Beardead07 @infodexx I'll be happy to explain. It's because you're wrong about the 'fact' that germany is 'flooded' with Muslims and Black people. You're welcome.

@infodexx Can anybody explain to me how is it possible that Germany is so high compared to Poland (include the fact that Germany is flooded with all muslims and blacks)?

@Cr7Godbrand The answer is quite simple. Men like women with feminine features and all these things mentioned are just amplified versions of the same. Women typically have less body hair so little to no body hair is the amplified version of that which equals more feminine which we like more.

Men want younger women – pedophilia. Men want hairless women – pedophilia. Men want virgins – pedophilia. Men want women with low body counts – pedophilia. Men want slim women – pedophilia. The only time they praise a man for getting a woman is when he marries or chooses a whore, porn star, prostitute, baby mama, fat woman, or ugly woman. They don’t want men to have any standards. They want the best of men while men must get the worst of women to prove we are men. They want to dictate what kind of women men should date. Same people who claim men are controlling.
ً@prinkasusa

Controversial take, I think men’s obsession with women being hairless sits uncomfortably close to pedophilia. The cultural obsession men have with a completely hairless female body deserves scrutiny.

@captain_mrs the easiest way to apply nivea cream is to take a liberal amount, spread it across your fingers and then dab them over the intended area first and then massage it all in a circular motion

when I was younger we always had nivea creme in the blue tub and I always hated applying it because it was so globby and hard to spread on my face but kept using it because it was objectively the best night moisturiser for me, and then like 6 years ago I saw a makeup tutorial where they got a bit, rubbed it between their hands to warm it up and spread it out and THEN applied it to their face and I tried it and realised it just easily applies in one thin smooth layer and my mind was blown that I could have been using it incorrectly for literally decades anyway there must be a lot of things like that in the world

Hear me out: I think the fact that Rocket League's core gameplay never changes actually hurts the game. The meta can barely evolve, new mechanics cease to exist and matches get repetitive. Every new season should have changes to the actual gameplay to keep players interested.

@nervemed I once tweeted that I will sometimes try giving patients a push dose of saline at first and I got the most self righteous moralising people asking for my medical license to be revoked and listing possible complications and legal ramifications that they had just googled

Pokémon Pokopia just dropped two variants with unexpectedly emotional lore. Mosslax fell into a deep sleep after a loss, stayed asleep so long moss grew over it, and woke up forgetting what hurt it in the first place. Peakychu gave away all her electricity to help her sick friends, and now she can’t generate any at all. Pokémon lore really said: healing, sacrifice, and moving on. Didn’t expect to catch feelings from this game.

@AlaniLTD @iamnyko @ezash Motion blur is ass in cyberpunk but the combined effect of chromatic aberrations and film grain gives it an 80's style retro futuristic look that I personally dig. It's less realistic but more stylized.

Every time I’ve done CPR on a real woman, it felt totally different from training. our mannequins are basically all male chests. Compressions hit different anatomy. But mention that healthcare (including CPR) has long defaulted to the male (often white male) body and suddenly it’s “woke agenda” instead of a documented problem. Come on. This is about saving lives, not politics.
Hoops@Hoopss

Outdated CPR training is putting women’s lives at risk. Women who suffer cardiac arrest outside hospital are significantly less likely to survive than men, and one overlooked reason is that CPR training almost never accounts for female anatomy. A Duke University analysis across 47 U.S. states found women are 14% less likely to receive bystander CPR. In the UK, the gap is similar: only 68% of women get CPR from bystanders compared to 73% of men, with many people citing fear of inappropriate touching or concern about injuring a woman’s chest. The problem is compounded by the tools we train on. A global survey revealed that roughly 95% of CPR manikins are designed with flat chests; only one widely available model includes visible breasts. As a result, most trainees never practice the slight technique adjustments needed for women and often hesitate in real emergencies. Research published in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services offers hope: when trainees used manikins equipped with realistic silicone breasts, they were almost twice as likely to feel confident performing chest compressions on a woman. Experts say updating training manikins to represent both male and female anatomy could eliminate hesitation, close the gender survival gap, and save thousands of lives.
