Seeing all the love online for Jamie as both a filmmaker and a friend has been phenomenal. No one is a saint, but it’s clear that he made a difference for a lot of us in the right way. Something to aspire to in that, I think.

@robertliefeld He was a formative influence for me in my own illustration career, and I always hoped to get the chance to tell him thanks.
On that note, Rob, from NM 87 onwards, you became a big part of why I persisted as an illustrator and I can’t thank you enough for that.

@BlanksJamie was an amazing talent, and this is a great example of how he was also a hell of a person. If you worked with him, you made a friend for life, and it’s fucking heartbreaking that he’s gone.

Jamie Blanks was one of the kindest souls in the horror community. Not only have his films stood the test of time, Jamie LOVED cinema and was incredibly supportive, passionately championing other filmmakers. His life was no Urban Legend. It was big, real and tragically too short.

Been a very long time since I’ve had a middle ear infection, and it’s safe to say that I’d forgotten just how fucking rough they can be.

I've been very fortunate to work on a lot of big things in my time, but Godzilla has always been at the very top of the bucket list. Being able to take everything I've learnt on every project to date and throw it all at this is incredibly fulfilling creatively and as a G-lifer.
