I’m building a calorie tracker app. What’s the one thing current calorie tracking apps get wrong? I’ll start: users are building the database for free, but the company owns it and monetizes it. That never felt right to me.

@kelvinbuildss I know in Germany and Netherlands the paper receipts are receiving too. But this app is universal and support barcodes and qr codes so should work everywhere 😌

The simplest calorie tracker I’ve tried.

Every time I come up with an idea for an app, a little while later after building a POC I find out that such an app already exists. How do you deal with situations like that? Do you abandon the project when it turns out something like that already exists?
