I’ve blown up nearly every trading account I’ve ever had. Years of hard work and screen time → zero. More than once. This run, I’m doing one thing differently: I withdraw on almost every green day. Keeping the balance low kills the three things that ruined me — overtrading, greed, and chasing lottos that never hit. And honestly? We forget what $100 or $200 actually is. That’s real money for a few taps on a screen. So I’m pulling it out and using it on myself and my family instead of feeding it back to the market. 😅 What’s your rule for taking money off the table?

Friday’s Total Put/Call Ratio was at 0.64 while the Equity Put/Call Ratio at 0.42. Everyone is chasing calls.

This time last year, a month like this ends with me revenge trading the account back to zero. Instead: +$3,002.84 on the month. 📈 The edge wasn’t a new setup. It was learning to sit on my hands after a drawdown. To take a step back and size lower when not seeing the charts/PA clearly. Traded: • $SPX 0DTE • Individual ticker swings/scalps • A little leveraged ETF The quiet habit doing the heavy lifting: I pull profits on green days. Keeps the balance small enough that I can’t get greedy or oversized — which is exactly when I used to torch it 🔥. Still a work in progress. Just finally the right kind.

Yesterday humbled me. Today was about control. After that account hit yesterday, I needed a green day more for my mindset than my P&L. I know I know how to trade. I know I can find solid entries. The difference today was I focused on taking profits and protecting capital instead of chasing and spiraling. Every option trade today closed green. Nothing hit my stop loss. SMCI commons gave me a small win too. I’m still getting my feet wet with commons and looking at a couple ETFs to study next week. Slow and steady. These short holiday weeks always throw me off mentally. It doesn’t even feel like a Friday. But I had a real come to Jesus meeting with myself last night and again this morning about what happened yesterday. If I keep blowing myself up emotionally after losses, I’ll never reach the bigger goals. I don’t need home runs right now. I’m focused on making $100-$200 a day consistently. That’s real money. That’s somebody’s paycheck. Stack enough of those days together and life changes. I know how to trade. Now I’m learning how to control myself. The red trades will come eventually. They always do. The difference is next time I’ll be prepared for them instead of letting them control me.

🟢 +$282 on day trades today. Mixed it up with $SPX 0dte and some scalps on PLTR and NVDA. Tough day trading the index but ended green. Ignore the open positions. My covered calls on ASTX might not get assigned after all 👀
