The Bible does not record any words spoken by Mary at the foot of Christ’s cross- and yet because of scripture we know she was there. A mother’s love knows no boundaries. The Virgin Mary bravely gave us a Savior and lost a son. Her love was undying, just as Christ loves us. ✝️

As Christ carried the cross, a little robin is said to have tried to ease his suffering, plucking barbs from the crown of thorns. A drop of blood fell upon its breast, marking it red to this day—a tale of compassion and kindness. #GoodFriday #Folklore

Today, we remember Jesus' sacrifice on the cross—the ultimate expression of love. Wishing you a blessed Good Friday.

Good Friday isn’t about the universal virtue of “sacrifice.” It’s about Christ’s particular sacrifice - his brutal crucifixion - a real, historic event with eternal consequences. “[Jesus], being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” On this Good Friday, let’s all solemnly remember Christ’s propitiatory sacrifice and glorify Him.

Evil did not have the last Word. That’s why it’s called Good Friday.

Love conquered all on Good Friday. Today is a reminder that darkness is never stronger than light.

Nearly 2,000 years ago today, Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross in Jerusalem.

On this Good Friday, we kneel before the Cross in sorrow and awe. We remember the suffering Jesus Christ willingly endured to redeem the world and save each one of us. And even in His final agony, His words were mercy:
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” What a powerful reminder to forgive, to carry our cross, and to follow Him faithfully. Today is solemn. Today is sacred. And today, I am deeply grateful for the mercy and salvation won for us on the Cross. He died for us. He lives for us. And because of Him, we are forgiven. ✝️
