Pathetic service by @VailResorts in not letting me change my epic pass to a 6 day pass. They’d rather keep my $49 and have me go to ikon than change my pass. What a joke

@heyscottyb was wondering if you had any data on the Shirley temple in wolfmans. Feels like Fridays was the first in a while but could be wrong. (Welcome to Hoboken btw!)

@sunsetroggae Thanks! Loving my new neighborhood. Are you saying Page sang “Shirley Temple” instead of “shouldn’t have took more than you gave”?

No excuses. Every single one of my Democratic colleagues should be voting against this bill that gives Trump and his incoming administration dictatorial powers to target nonprofit organizations as political enemies without due process.
ACLU@ACLU

Our coalition brings together over 120 diverse nonprofits to tell Congress: Giving the executive branch new power to silence dissent and dismantle civil society organizations isn't just bad policy — it's bad for democracy.

My people: when Elise Stefanik defends Israel at the UN, remember she is defending the Israel of the settlers, not of the hostage families, not of the peace builders killed on 10/7, not of the protesters. SHE IS NOT OUR FRIEND. She is against democracy in both countries.

@joshglancy @Gurdur “on the day after October 7, hundreds celebrated outside the Israeli embassy in London.” And two days later, Israel was offered all of the hostages back. Netanyahu declined. He wanted that war. He wanted 100,000 dead Palestinians. Some perspective, eh?

In terms of the rather crass “did they deserve it” debate, I think the key point is this: on the day after October 7, hundreds celebrated outside the Israeli embassy in London. British Jews did not organise masked gangs to put them in hospital thetimes.com/article/4622c8…

I would have said "biological males" instead of "boys". But I'm an Ivy league elite who knows all the progressive tripwires by heart. Which is the real point. Elites have a thousand tripwire words & phrases that needlessly alienate everybody else. Instead of demanding that everyone speak in your novel dialect, why not assume good faith?

Content aside. One of the reasons podcasts have exploded their audiences while cable news dwindles is that it’s actually just unbearable as a viewer to watch a bunch of people shout over each other instead of fully making their points.

The gaslighting is quite incredible. The only thing to be done is to present the facts. The Truth. To recognize that for literally thousands of years Jews have been on the end of pogroms, and to add insult to injury, blamed for them. Facts: ❎ Ajax fans warned four days before the game that the Europa League match would be politicized. They warned pro-Hamas supporters to stay away. This is a key point: Ajax fans did not take part in the violence. ❎ Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were welcomed to Amsterdam with masses of graffiti saying: "Kick Israel out of UEFA" & "Genocide supporters are not welcome here". ❎ The day of the match in Amsterdam was relatively peaceful. Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv fans danced and sang together. Ajax are known as the "Super Juden" - they are a club with strong historical Jewish links. Yes, Maccabi fans took down Palestinian flags and sang inflammatory songs in Amsterdam. This does not justify a pogrom. ❎ This was not a traditional football hooligan fight. Which is part of the poor framing by so much of the mainstream media. This was Israelis/Jews being targeted after the game, away from the Johan Cruyff Arena, by mostly Muslim immigrants who had planned a pogrom. Not a single Ajax fan was part of the perpetrators. All the videos prove this. ❎ Pro-Palestine mobs in Amsterdam organized themselves via WhatsApp to hunt Jews in Amsterdam. After the Europa League game. ❎ Officials in Holland & Amsterdam have understood that the issue is not with "football hooligans" but those elements in their society attacking Jews and Israelis simply for existing. The Dutch king said Jewish people must feel safe in the Netherlands, after violent attacks against Israeli football fans in the centre of Amsterdam. Willem-Alexander said "our history has taught us how intimidation goes from bad to worse." Willem-Alexander also said: "We failed the Jewish community of the Netherlands during World War II, and we failed again." ❎ This came at the end of a particularly brutal week for Jews and Israelis watching football in Europe's top competitions. On Tuesday night, PSG fans held up a banner which literally called for the end of the state of Israel. On Thursday night, Galatasaray held up some more shameful banners accusing Israel of "genocide". UEFA, despite having rules against political statements, have confirmed they will do nothing. The picture of a Hamas-supporting Jew hunter in Amsterdam on Thursday night sums it up better than any of the words above.

@rubinwrites It doesn’t and whoever did it should be punished. However context matters a lot, especially right now, especially with the current political events and world sentiments. The debate is not to justify violence, but to prevent absurd mentions of “pogrom”, which aim to increase hate.

What happened in Amsterdam against Jewish/Israeli football fans is despicable antisemitism & terrorism concealed in "pro-Palestine" solidarity by criminal thugs who keep harming, undermining, weakening & sabotaging Palestinians & their aspirations. Speak up against violent hate!

"Liberals need to build their own Joe Rogan" is something someone could only think if you've never listened to Rogan or ever met anyone who listens to Rogan. It betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of what Rogan is and why so many men listen to him.
Elie Mystal@ElieNYC

People saying Harris should have done Joe Rogan are missing the point. That wouldn’t have helped her. Liberals need to BUILD THEIR OWN JOE ROGAN. Somebody who can speak to the people he speaks to, without being a guy who wants to kiss ass to billionaires like Elon Musk.
