@DiscussingFilm I never watched the second one. Are they worth watching? I could see an interesting concept with them, but with everything else going on I really don't got time for them LOL
@DiscussingFilm That is exactly what he's aiming for! He recently explained that the main reason they didn't get to camera sooner is literally because they "ran out of time" during their ideal window.
@DiscussingFilm Do you think it was a mistake to have Nia DaCosta direct the second film instead of letting Danny Boyle handle all 3 parts of the trilogy back to back?
Anthony Dod Mantle has shot this whole franchise on whatever consumer camera the moment handed him.
MiniDV camcorders for 28 Days Later in 2002. iPhone 15 Pro Maxes for 28 Years Later in 2024. same instinct both times. grab the camera a normal person could actually be holding during the outbreak, so the footage feels like it leaked out of the event instead of being staged for it.
for the wide shots he ran 20 iPhones in a curve on 3D-printed rigs to get that 180-degree bullet-time sweep. whatever Boyle hands him for the third in 2027 will just be the consumer camera of that year.
@DiscussingFilm I hope so, I’m invested. I don’t want to have gone to the cinema and bought both 4k steelbooks, only for the last film in the trilogy to be cancelled.
@DiscussingFilm Just end it. The last two were bad in my opinion..if you like them great. But obviously alot of people didn't care about it because these movies bombed
@DiscussingFilm I haven't watched this franchise yet, but they should make a movie called "28 Months Later".
Go from 28 days, 28 weeks, 28 months and 28 years later.
@DiscussingFilm We literally ran out of time, turns out Part 3 is locked to a specific region of Britain that can only be filmed at certain times of year. rage virus has a seasonal window. Genuinely love this franchise.❤️
@DiscussingFilm Fucking fantastic news ! ❤️
I thought the sequels were amazing !
Not your rehashing of 28 days later but a fresh take on the future vision.
Nobody probably got the Jimmy’s (Jimmy Savile) gang reference outside the UK in Bone Temple..Tough Shit !
I thought they were great BOTH ❤️
@DiscussingFilm Can't wait for Boyle to close out the trilogy himself! After the strong start and Bone Temple's wild ride, having him direct the finale with Cillian Murphy front and center in 2027 sounds perfect. Alex Garland's script better deliver that epic payoff #28YearsLater
@DiscussingFilm I'm in. While 28 Years wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The Bonetemple was a cool follow up but now I wonder where does it go?
@DiscussingFilm Filming in 2027 and waiting to release in 2028, and still is not 28 years from the 1st movie, but it falls in the 28th year of the century, brilliant.
