EXCLUSIVE: Gavin Newsom promised to build a bridge for cougars and butterflies in the middle of Los Angeles. The project has turned into another boondoggle, with broken deadlines and costs exploding to $114 million. This is Newsom's bridge to nowhere. city-journal.org/article/califo…

@christopherrufo For $115 million, a dozen mountain lions a year will be able to get across the 101 Freeway, so residents on the other side can call animal control and report a mountain lion in their yard or at their kids' park.

@christopherrufo For context, $114 million is roughly what it would cost to build 750 affordable housing units in Los Angeles County at current rates.

@christopherrufo Yes, but of that $114M, how much was funneled back to CA democrats in the way of campaign donations and nonprofit funding? That’s how success is judged. (On the left)

@christopherrufo How on earth do you spend one hundred and fourteen million dollars on 10 pillars, a flat slab of rock, and a few tons of dirt?

@christopherrufo First of all, landscaping? Throw some dirt on it and in a couple of years it will be just like the foothills. Green grasses in the early spring and kindling the rest of the year. Second, what's going to happen on the west side of this thing? There is frontage road still to cross.

stop attempting to politicize wildlife crossings. they have broad bipartisan support, protect drivers from dangerous collisions, save wildlife, and can lower car insurance. not to mention $98M of funding for the Wallis Annenberg Bridge comes from private funding. 101wildlifecrossing.org/supporters/#:~….

This is literally a couple hundred feet, years in construction, way over budget, no where near complete. Do you really think these people could actually build a high speed rail? These Clowns running California really need to be replaced. NEVER let Newscum anywhere near the Whitehouse…!!!

You can bet that this price tag would have been at least half if the location was in Texas or Fla. Here's a thought - if our SoCal coastal weather ever went from mild to year round too warm this place would implode. It - yr round temperate weather - is the single biggest draw. It gets above 82 n people start acting crazy.

@christopherrufo @jaxon6743518501 He can't even protect the animals. He refuses to protect the people unless they are illegal. Those he'll protect.
