Post from former Twitter CEO. Government of India wants to ban a software called bitchat which allows communication over Bluetooth (by establishing a mesh network) and hence enabling communication even if mobile communications are brought down. Bitchat enables exchange of messages and multimedia, and works especially well in places like the protest in Jantar Mantar.

This is shocking!
Five Muslim Students returning to Jamia area from Jantar Mantar were detained by the police near @jmiu_official and taken to the police station. Social activist Zeba Khan @zeba_kh_an and the reporter Afzal Alam @afzalalamjmi chased the police vehicle and freed all the Students.
Hello @DelhiPolice, Why were they detained, is it a crime to participate in Jantar Mantar protest?
Why are young Students from the Jamia area being treated like criminals just for participating in the protest?

Dear World look here how Muslim girl is locked in room for hours just for damn ₹2 ballon 🤬
There were some balloons placed at the door of #RajuGupta.
Muslim girl passing by on the road probably wanted to take the balloon or burst it. Raju Gupta got angry and kept the innocent girl locked in the room for hours. When people came to know about it, the girl's mother also reached the spot.
The ward councilor barely managed to rescue the girl from Raju Gupta.
The Hindu-Muslim poison is shaking the soul of this country every day and these haters are continuously carrying out dangerous incidents.
That Gupta should be arrested under POCSO 🤬 @saharanpurpol

UP Police has raided Junaid’s house and taken his father and minor brother into custody.
They are threatening Junaid to return from Delhi or else they will not release his father.
They also raided his sister’s house and arrested her father-in-law and brother-in-law.
This is exactly why we were against Muslims joining the protest from day one.
Now I will hold accountable everyone who was provoking and encouraging Muslims to take part in it.

Mohd. Aslam was distributing water bottles at CJP protest. Police came and asked for his adhar card, took his details. At 10 pm, six police officers raided his house. Arrested him with unknown charges. Out of lakhs of protesters, police found only Aslam to punish. Remember it.

this footage still shocks me to this day you have officials in full riot gear storming into a library where NOTHING is happening and the mainstream narrative was that these students deserved it for the ruckus they created

The brutality unleashed by the police on protesting students near Jantar Mantar is deeply disturbing. Yet, for many of us, it painfully revives the memories of an even darker chapter—the horrific assault on students at Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University in December 2019.
Inside university campuses, students were chased, mercilessly beaten, and subjected to violence that seemed intended not merely to disperse a protest, but to break their bodies and spirits. Those haunting images remain etched in our collective memory.
To add to the injustice, the committee constituted to investigate the incident eventually gave the police a clean chit, leaving countless students and citizens feeling that accountability had once again been denied.
A democracy cannot thrive when students are treated as enemies for raising their voices. Campuses should be places of learning and debate—not sites of fear and brutality.

A very close friend of mine, who is Muslim, married his college sweetheart. They married in both hindu and muslim traditions but to legalise the marriage they had to put up a notice for 30 days in the court notice board to allow any legal objections.
He is filthy rich, connected but grounded and stays away from controversies.
You know what? he didn't register his marriage in India, because he knew some elements will term it as love jihad, they moved to UAE, invested shit loads of money, got married there registered with India embassy.
He is genersting money for 100s in India, he is the nicest human being you can possibly meet but still he had to take this step.
This made me feel so sad! We should reall work towards inclusive India. All of us.
The division, hate will only take you or the country so far.

Today, we remember every innocent Muslim whose life was brutally taken by the poison of hate and mob lynching in India.
Behind every name was a human being with dreams, a family waiting at home, and a future that was stolen in an act of unimaginable cruelty. Their mothers still wait, their children still grieve, and their loved ones continue to carry the unbearable weight of loss.
We refuse to let their memories fade into silence. We remember them not as statistics, but as fathers, sons, brothers, husbands, and friends whose lives mattered.
May their souls rest in eternal peace. May justice one day prevail. And may we continue to stand against hatred, defend human dignity, and strive for an India where no one is targeted because of their faith.
Their lives were taken by hate, but their memory will continue to inspire our struggle for justice, compassion, and humanity.

This should not shock you, if you've been following the social media PR narratives built over the years, to show the govt in positive light (especially whenever a scam/scandal/a protest becomes a headline).
THE WORRY should be how taxpayers money is being used for these mammoth PR exercises.
