100 percent disagree. One of the great film making achievements. Warren Beatty is one of the best directors of the last 50 years. This is a beautifully made film on every level with one of the great Diane Keaton performances.
Any person wanting to make a love story that is both small and epic should watch this.
In this era of shorter attention spans REDS stands out as what long form storytelling used to be.
This used to be what a big screen movie was with our IMAX or special effects - and it is breathtaking.
The witnesses alone - real people from the era telling the story interspersed with the films scenes give of a depth and authenticity we never see anymore in studio movies.

When women are single they are mocked and used as an example to deter other women from ending up like her. She’s called a ‘cat lady’ and ‘undesirable’ and if she mutters a word about choosing to be single she’s labelled as either crazy or lying.
When men are single it’s an epidemic. Studies are conducted, hundreds of articles are written about how these ‘obviously desirable’ men have become victims. The blame is once again put on women. It’s her fault for not playing her part and doing what men want her to do.
If women are alone, women are blamed.
If men are alone, women are blamed.
This tells you exactly why rates of singleness are only going up.

Foxx: One of our colleagues just talked about the fact that wealthy people pay small percentages of their income on taxes. But what he didn't say is they pay over 50% of all the taxes paid in this country, and that working class people don't pay nearly as much as they do.

A source sent me this photo of Kash Patel’s customized Nike’s. The shoes feature a number 9 (Patel is the 9th FBI director), a Punisher skull (a vigilante killer from Marvel Comics), and his personal logo (K$H). The backs of the shoes show the FBI motto: "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity". Patel was photographed wearing them at an FBI Academy event that featured UFC fighters.
