@henrysaye Exactly. That England squad (and many of the squads that went before them) should be winning tournaments. But they fail…I don’t think that’s on Southgate
@19Hackling90 The reason England did so well under Southgate was the quality they had on the bench that overwhelmed teams in the later stages - Howe can put together a better game plan and exploit the depth.
Dalman wanted to develop youth and hired Bulut who has no history of that.

@henrysaye I don’t think Howe goes any further than Southgate. Have to agree with Owen that some of these British players could be 100 appearances deep by 21 but instead they sit on the bench and get 15mins here and there for PL clubs
