Just created a fresh newsletter earlier. It took me way too long. I was scared of failure and just decided to be blind about it. Looking forward to conquering this. (let me know if you have any cool tricks)

I’ve been going to the gym for a bit over 3 months now. I’ve been playing golf for over 3 years. For both, the actual activity was 20% of the work. Working out? 20% at the gym. 80% dieting, staying active, and keeping a good mindset. Golf? 20% playing for score. 80% practicing, staying disciplined, and having friends to play with. Work isn’t out in the open, it’s behind the scenes. Set your expectations right.

I’m always overestimating new things. Meeting new people? They must be grumpy. Trying something new? It’s going to be brutal. Even now, I have some nerves. But I’ve been proven wrong each time. Every person has been kind. New things have helped me. Don’t be afraid.

@1stLucasLin Tread carefully young man. It’s incredibly rude to talk about someone as if they’re not there, instead of talking to them.

Some people never grow up. They go through experiences but don’t learn from it. It’s like consuming food but not getting any nutrients. Time passes, and their body ages. Yet, their mind is the same. I’ve noticed my wasted experiences and I’m determined to make the most out of it. From playing golf to building a business, I think it’s a really valuable skill.

This is a thank you to my parents for doing what they thought was right. They have never set hard rules. They have always taken time to talk to me. They have always made sure to let us understand, not to force me. I know a lot of parents see teen years as torture. It’s confusing and hard for both sides. But I just turned 15. And life is looking up. Teen years should be your golden years. Don’t waste them.

For the first time in a long time, I got into a good focus session. For years, I’ve tried to get a really good work habit. It cost me and my parents time and recourses. And today, actually being able to be really productive felt great. A good piece of knowledge here: I started working on a project not so long ago. But my father told me that the real goal wasn’t even all about the project. If I could stay motivated, that could lead to countless more projects. And now, I finally see some hope. I did it once, so I can do it again. I hope I’m right.

I’m considered a rather early starter. But early or not, the impact is huge. Some people make a million a year. Some make billions. The difference is a thousand fold. They could be the same age. My time will devaluate as I spend more of it. I really need to use it wisely.

I used to worry about my socializing aspect. But today, I realized that there were no problems. I walked into the golf course. All the staff knew me. I talked to my friend. I went to the gym after, and people were super friendly. Some kids don’t make as many friends because they don’t even try. Then it gives homeschooling a bad name. Thankfully, my parents gave me a good mindset, and I stayed friendly. Now, I’m reaping the benefits. We’re all just people in the end. Being social is an instinct. Glad to have friends.

@1stLucasLin I guess my instinct is slightly different from yours.

My parents have pushed me for years. And yet, they’ve protected our relationship. I see a lot of relationships fall apart when a child is my age. And this makes me feel thankful. Maybe it was part luck. Maybe it wasn’t. But either way, I’d better make the most out of it.

Just finished the final round of my golf tournament. Ended up placing 3rd among my flight (group). But best of all got picked as the junior golfer of the year in my club. Of course, I also had a great time with my friends. Golf really is an amazing sport.

Came back a bit ago from my golf tournament. I played my best ever. Had a great time. Tomorrow is round 2. I’ll see you guys then.

4 years ago, I wasn’t sure about homeschooling. But these two posts showed off why it’s great. First, kids still make friends. Second, you get a lot more flexibility in life. One of the best changes in my life. And my parents deserve the credit. Big thank you to them.

Wow. This post brought me back to a few years ago. I was just like this kid. Working out saved me. It wasn’t easy, but it’s a blessing to me. It didn’t make me violent. It made me more disciplined. More people like this person working out. I hope he picks it up.

This is day 5 of my attempt to build a product in 30 days. Got the Top Contributor badge on facebook (my testing ground) The parents were really accepting of a teen offering advice. Looked at competitors, and looked into manufacturers. I’ll talk more about it tomorrow.

I haven’t posted in a bit. So here’s an update. I’ve been busy these past days designing a product for families. I joined a facebook group to give my own insights and test my product. I’ll update on it and see you guys tomorrow. (Some pics of the posts I’m engaging with)
