@HeartEyes4Brady We usually received a chocolate bunny, jelly beans and small chocolate eggs. Mom kept the wicker baskets and “grass” and used them year after year until they needed replacement. No expensive foolishness.

Just before 1 am on Thursday, April 2nd, a PCSO deputy on State Road 60 in Winter Haven witnessed a gray Kia SUV traveling in his direction at a high rate of speed. The speed of the car was measured to be 106 mph in a 55 mph zone. Then the Kia passed through the intersection of SR60 and Alturas Road on a red stop light. Fortunately, there were no other vehicles in that area. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was identified as 24-year old Miranda Marie Martin of Kissimmee. Miranda initially told the deputy that she had left her friend's house in Lake Wales, and she was just trying to get home. In addition to that logistically confusing statement, the deputy noticed Miranda's eyes were watery and bloodshot, her speech was lethargic, and she was swaying while standing. Miranda denied drinking any alcoholic beverages recently. She said she smelled like alcohol because someone spilled some on her at her friend's house. Miranda was #ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice and taken to the Sheriff's Processing Center. She provided two breath samples which showed breath-alcohol content levels of 0.128 and 0.126 g/210L. Miranda Marie Martin was charged with DUI (M2) and Dangerous Excessive Speeding (M2). #PCSO #PolkSheriff

Due to some recent bike thefts in the Dundee Road area of northeast Winter Haven, PCSO deputies were proactively patrolling that neighborhood. On Tuesday night, March 31st, a deputy witnessed a man operating a bike after dark with no lights-- a safety hazard that is also against the law. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the bicycle. The operator was identified as 40-year old Truston David Kunze of Winter Haven. A fun fact about Truston-- he had an active warrant from the Florida Commission on Offender Review for Conditional Release Violation regarding a felony battery and possession of methamphetamine. Truston Kunze was #ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice without incident and booked-on at the Sheriff's Processing Center on his warrant. #PCSO #PolkSheriff
