@smacaronincheez @wilsonhlthcoach When you steam or boil you have corned beef (yuk). When you smoke it you have pastrami. St Pattys is the best time to get these packets already brined. Two years ago, Costco had snake river wagyu. This year I bought the Harris Ranch version. Both were fantastic.

@wilsonhlthcoach I caught corned beef marked down to $2/lb after St. Pattys. We cook in the crockpot and smoke them. Smoked is like pastrami.

@JillSAnthony The price of beef is a problem and not easy to solve since American breeders have not been able to keep up (mostly because of regulations). That said, I buy the best American black angus beef and prices have gone up about 20% in the past couple years.

It’s insane that 3 ribeye at Costco are $99 dollars. Beef has become unaffordable for many Americans and there is no relief in site.

@JillSAnthony @georgeregnery No way, prime boneless ribeye has been between 15 and 20 dollars per pound for years. Those are great looking steaks, you could easily feed about 8 adults with those 3.
