The main issue is Transparency E10 should be made available (if E0 isn’t feasible) E20 should cost 5-10% less than E10 (compensates for mileage drop as well) Further dilution plans should be paused for now till the time current situation gets resolved and stabilised (I mean E27 & E30) E85 and E100 are good to have as options but the pricing should make sense. One more thing, manufacturers need to start offering E20 retrofits for older cars for added peace of mind.

Great fact based thread. We’ve always said that engine damage fears due to E20 overblown. No scientific data to prove otherwise. Drop in efficiency our biggest concern which MUST be compensated for with a LOWER fuel prices to make it easy on the pocket for millions of motorists

@volklub The issue is the reliability, half the times I hear people say they don’t work. In major cities maybe they work all the time but on highways and remote places they almost never work.

5 year old Honda City mileage has fallen to 7.7 km/l with 90% city and 10% highway. Dealership and third party service center both are saying engine is fine, it's due to ethanol Petrol. But my dad's 6 year old Kia Seltos uses the same Petrol and has a mileage of 19.3 km/l.

@SomChaterji Duster has a bigger issue than all this. It's space, rear seats feel cramped even compared to kushaq. Interior being basically all black makes it feel even more cramped. In a market where new products like Sierra and Seltos exist, duster just doesnt have a USP (like awd or such).

Duster sales paint a grim picture. Sales have gone down and it's not looking good. Renault needs to bring the Hybrid asap and not keep waiting. Product planning could have been better with a 1.0 automatic on offer when rivals offer smooth NA CVTs or better 1.0 turbos.
