I haven’t been posting as much lately but my faith and testimony are stronger than ever. I ask for prayers for my family. Many of you know my story of one of my best friends taking his life in Feb 2024. You saw me as I accepted Christ back into my life, returned to church, rebaptized in April of 2024 and then being sealed as a family last year. Well, on March 5th, 2026 I got a call from my parents to come over because they had some news. This is never a good sign. My uncle Marty had taken his life. My uncle Marty joined the family when I was young when he married my aunt. He had a sweet wife, my aunt Mary, a nice job, a nice house, and he attended a nice Baptist church. Apparently, the pharmacy had his medicine on back order and was out of meds for a few days. My aunt had just filled his medicine and he took his dose for the morning. She ran some errands and came home and found him. He texted her to come home quick and tried calling his pastor as indicated on his call logs. Unfortunately, he just couldn’t fight it long enough. It’s really hit my aunt hard and their family because it was unexpected. So, please keep us in your prayers. You’ll see more of my posts soon, I promise. In the meantime… read your scriptures, pray, serve others, share the gospel, and keep God first… bear the name of Christ with honor, integrity, and love. #LDSx

Sometimes it's hard for me to scroll down through my For You tab. There seems to be an inordinate amount of suffering, loved ones near death, terminal cancer, kids dying, etc. I'm wondering if I'm seeing so many of these posts because I always try to pray and leave a little comment or emoji. Has anyone else noticed this? I want to pray for everyone, of course, but it's very sad sometimes.

LDS friends, I’m dealing with some acute physical pain today. Could you recommend any comforting conference talks or scripture stories about afflictions I could listen to (besides Come, Follow Me lessons)? Thank you!! 🌻 #LDS #GeneralConference #ComeUntoChrist

Luli I deal with a lot of pain with osteoarthritis every day so I can understand this helped me recently:
Elder Richard Scott said via Danny Ricks: “And I can hear his voice saying this, but he said, Sadness, disappointment and severe challenge are events in life, not life itself. Again; They're events in life, not life itself.
I do not minimize how hard some of these events are. They can extend over a long period of time, maybe even our lives, but they should not be allowed to become the confining center of everything you do. A pebble held close to the eye appears to be a gigantic obstacle.”

Our mortal life is but a moment in our existence, but that moment—sometimes very difficult—is of eternal importance.
Yes, our Heavenly Father wants us to learn and grow. And, yes, that growth at times entails disappointment and suffering. But He wants our lives to be beautiful and hopeful.
To that end, and to ease our journey back to Him, He has provided a Savior.
Through His love and atoning sacrifice, Jesus Christ has dealt with and healed everything we will encounter in life.
What a joy to repent and be forgiven through Christ's redeeming love!
