🤔 Don’t be fooled. SB1431 isn’t expanding choice for buyers. It lets developers cut corners, leaving homes that are cheaper to build but cost more to live in. Vote NO on SB1431 to protect quality, safe, and well-built homes for Arizona families.

Local design standards ensure the same quality for every type of housing – including affordable homes.❌ SB1431 eliminates these standards, allowing developers to use lower-quality materials and leave out basic features. Homes can be affordable, well-built, attractive, and functional.📢Tell your legislator to vote NO on SB1431 to protect safe, durable, quality construction for all Arizonans.

📢City leaders across Arizona have pushed back on the proposal, arguing HB4030/HCR2052 intrudes on local budget decisions and could disrupt critical infrastructure planning like repairing State Route 347. inmaricopa.com/league-tax-fre…

HB4030 and HCR 2052 would block cities from adjusting rates and fees to cover the true cost of essential services, while giving voters outside city boundaries the power to decide how those services are managed. These restrictions jeopardize the reliability of critical infrastructure, put municipal bonds at risk, and limit a community’s ability to respond to rising costs or emergencies. VOTE NO. — @CityofFlagstaff mayor @BeckyDaggett.

Arizona mayors are sounding the alarm 🚨After losing $230M/year from the rental tax, a ⛽️ tax frozen since the 90s, and a possible food tax ban this fall, cities are already facing tight budgets. Now HB4030/HCR2052 could further tie the hands of local leaders trying to fund essential services. 🎧 KJZZ: kjzz.org/the-show/2026-…

This is a problem w/ a lot of legislation that’s proposed at the state level. In theory, capping taxes sounds like a great idea. However, it can tie a city’s hands behind their backs as they deal with building out critical water infrastructure. Our economic growth depends on it!

Why is the legislature trying to limit what cities and towns can do? On PBS Horizon, the @CityofChandler Mayor explains why local government, the level closest to the people, must retain the ability to make local decisions.❌ He warns HB4030 would have “tremendous negative results.” ❌🎥 Watch the full interview: 🔗 azpbs.org/horizon/2026/0…

🚨Over half of a city or town’s general fund often goes straight to public safety. 🚨 HB4030/HCR2052 ties our hands by restricting local rates and fees, putting a stranglehold on🚔and 🚒budgets. Az cities can’t attract the best officers or maintain critical equipment if state law blocks local flexibility. Freezing rate/fee adjustments would put immense pressure on these essential services, jeopardizing public safety in our communities.

In cities like @CottonwoodAZ, HB4030 and HCR2052 would tie the hands of local leaders working to maintain water quality, protect public health, and meet new regulatory requirements. Communities depend on local leaders having the flexibility to adjust utility fees to ensure reliable service.❌VOTE NO❌

I’m not surprised to see the @NYPost highlight that @MaricopaCounty is home to 6 of the nation’s happiest cities. No other county can boast even two cities. I’m proud that Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe are in District 2 & kudos to Mayors Freeman, Borowsky, & Woods for their leadership.

If HB4030/HCR2052 had been law last year, @CityofMaricopa couldn’t have acted in time to fix one of the most "dangerous highways in the West." In 2025, Maricopa voters approved a ½-cent sales tax to widen SR 347. Without that flexibility, the project would have been delayed, risking more crashes, injuries, and lives. azcapitoltimes.com/news/2026/03/0…

Superior’s utilities are designed to pay for themselves. HB4030 and HCR2052 would block the town from adjusting rates when costs rise, forcing the General Fund to cover the gap. This could threaten funding for essential services like police and fire protection and harm the quality of life for our taxpayers. HB4030 and HCR2052 remove local control, jeopardize critical infrastructure investments, and put public safety funding at risk. ❌ Vote NO.

Many small towns have aging infrastructure. Clarkdale has taken a fiscally responsible approach, planning for necessary upgrades. Their wastewater master plan identifies over $20 million in required improvements, but with just 1,500 users, modest, regular rate adjustments are essential. Without that flexibility, the town risks higher long-term costs, emergency repairs, and financial instability. Clarkdale’s mayor highlights the harmful impacts of HB4030/HCR2052 on Arizona communities. ❌VOTE NO❌
