In current market, it will be difficult for $SOFI to hold any gains post earnings IMO. I do expect bounce at earnings as it’s highly likely to beat earnings with triple beat but likely to hit by broader ongoing sell off
Yesterday was brutal for SaaS and fintech but more brutal was no meaningful bounce observed despite sharp selling.

@amitisinvesting I just spent the last 4 weeks in SE Asia I saw how core it is to everyday life. I was using Grab at least 4-5 times a day.. transport, food, groceries…within seconds. It’s a long term hold for sure and I’m happy to hold.
English

$GRAB trading as if Singapore is about to get invaded 😂😂😂😂
in all seriousness, yes it sucks to be stuck in something that isn’t moving and was just up 35% a few months ago, but it also begs the question about why
and I personally do not see the fundamental argument for why it deserves to be trading at these levels, at all.
barclays came out this morning and once again reiterated $7.
maybe there is some big earnings surprise and horrible guidance and the thesis changes, but outside of that I feel the shorts are in control and the price simply isn’t matching with the reality of the business.
this isn’t that uncommon, it happens all the time and the harsh reality is it happened for the first 2 names that built my portfolio (PLTR and HOOD) for 2 years before those names actually moved. we all have been so conditioned to the quick 50% in a month that many times we forget investing really does take time and stories need the breath to play out. rocketlab had 3+ years of nothing before the incredible run we’ve seen in the past year.
the question then becomes opportunity cost. my portfolio did 60% last year and if I had put the grab money somewhere else, it’d probably have been closer to 90%. i don’t know if this is when you quit on a name given nothing has changed — if something changes (like i felt with hims at 58) then im all for cutting bait. but nothing really has changed, price is just not reacting, and that is more of a game of patience versus anything else.
institutions continue to acquire, profitability is inflecting, topline growth can accelerate to 30%, and the broader narrative of the position has not changed for me.
i can’t focus on looking at it day to day because its like watching paint dry and have other more active parts of my portfolio but at this point I am trusting there is a broader opportunity that will manifest itself and i actually like that it is not as high beta because its something I know I can continue to DCA in cheaply.
long shares + options, not sure whats happening but these are the dog days of waiting things out and will review after Q4 earnings 🫡

@EFromeden @amitisinvesting Options. Algos. Liquidations.
Français

@amitisinvesting “institutions continue to acquire” okay so who the duck is selling then 😃
English

@Thomasfmurray3 @amitisinvesting Then you haven’t done research on it or that it’s literally the most dominant company in what it does in SEA.
English

@amitisinvesting I would sell this one. This stock is fundamentally different from winners like $PLTR or $HOOD. Those two stocks have mind blowing technology which can scale. $GRAB doesn’t seem to come close. Cut your losses.
English

@DEPUBLIC1 @amitisinvesting And yet only to the downside? that makes no sense?
English

@amitisinvesting Too many shares outstanding of that stock in the open market. Nothing can move that stock to the upright.
English

@michaelgmcquaid @amitisinvesting That’s not bearish for GRAB
English

@amitisinvesting This is likely the main reason GRAB is seeing such sell pressure right now. Article came out two days ago

McQuaid@michaelgmcquaid
This may explain some of the recent pressure on $GRAB share price reuters.com/world/china/in…
English

@amitisinvesting I’m long GRAB. Price isn’t matching fundamentals at all.
English

@FreakinAdil @therealcrazyray @jbulltard1 Those fundamental reasons are weak. I will happily trust the actual management and those that know way more about tech and that industry,
English

@BacklashPics @therealcrazyray @jbulltard1 He just gave you fundamental reasons which you ignore, real investors don't ignore the risks of their positions.

@Dividend_Miner @GrindeOptions @SoFi @allyfinancial @RobinhoodApp Hoping it joins the S&P500? It’s one of the top contenders to do so with or without your or my opinion. Thanks for your “not financial” financial advice 👌
English

No for all their moves recently. Shareholders have the largest voice. Taking away plus unless you pay a monthly subscription after March and much more. Read what they are charging and changing come February and march yourself. It’s obvious like I stated before Ally and Robinhood are the better alternatives. So yes in my opinion sell the stock until they make better choices. Or keep it hoping it will enter the S&P and hope it reaches $100 a share in some future year do whatever you wish I don’t care
English

@Dividend_Miner @GrindeOptions @SoFi @allyfinancial @RobinhoodApp This does not affect the entire companies fundamentals dramatically. Those are fixes they can do almost instantly if they see it actually effecting them (they have the statistics which you don’t). Ally as a company has nothing on Sofi as a business.
English

@Dividend_Miner @GrindeOptions @SoFi @allyfinancial @RobinhoodApp Lmfao. Sell all your stock for a 2% credit card concern. Wtf
English

@SoFi is definitely destroying itself with all these fees they are charging. Come March they will charge for plus even if you continue to direct deposit. If you don’t pay their plus fee you lose your investment % into Roths etc.
Meanwhile @allyfinancial & @RobinhoodApp are clearly not doing this. They give higher APY and % boosts if you invest.
So in my opinion is close it out and sell all your shares until they make better financial decisions and actually start competing with their competitors $ALLY & $HOOD until they do $SOFI will not progress
English

@Lets_Make_It_2 @GrindeOptions Price action is not reflective of the company performing lol. What is with people always talking about PA unless you’re a trader
English

@GrindeOptions That’s a tough question. How much benefit would you get to pay for itself?
I’m getting a little disappointed with the price action of $SOFI.
I’m waiting and see what kind of price action we’ll get with S&P500 or if Noto can reach his $35 & $45 by June.
English

@rightytighty444 @GrindeOptions Yeah question the entire company over a credit card lmao
English

@GrindeOptions Idk man. Thought they were only doing that to clients that were losing them money. Thats definitely not you. Starting to question SoFi a bit
English

@Kenmegan44 @GrindeOptions This is just useless fear mongering of a credit card lol
English

@GrindeOptions Any idea why you might be targeted? Excessive foreign transactions, online gambling, cannabis purchases....
English

@therealcrazyray @jbulltard1 If you’re a day trader. Which many go broke doing. Otherwise it means absolutely dogshit. Real investors buy fundamentals not some head and shoulder “pattern”.
English

@BacklashPics @jbulltard1 it means everything
as always
price action is the most telling, and the only thing that matters

If you want to say this woman's death is a tragedy, that we should pray for her soul as Christians and Americans, then I agree with you.
But the media dishonesty about this officer is an all-time moment in shameless press propaganda.
Does this law enforcement officer have a family? Yes. Did he he get seriously injured by a vehicle just six months ago? Yes. Did he have reason to fear for his life? Yes. Does he have every right to safety while he's doing his job? Yes.
I want our law enforcement officers to do their jobs and come home safely to their family. If you don't like the immigration policy of the Trump administration, attack me. Leave our law enforcement alone.
And it's time for the press to finally tell the truth about this story.

@KrisPatel99 I 100% agree. It’s why I keep buying the huge disconnect on one of Nvidia’s largest years of earnings.
English

$NVDA
Interesting to see $NVDA basically flat the last 7 months… even after the CES presentation where Jensen outlined the vast improvement in efficiency and China resuming imports(legally lol)…
All this while the periphery has been rising sharply like $MU … makes me wonder what the market is seeing or maybe not seeing.
People are chasing cyclical semi components like HBM ram right now but at some point this year, I think many will take their profits and redeploy them back in $NVDA.
This is probably why Altimeter has been adding to their $NVDA position as per Brad Gerstner.
What are you thoughts?

English

@jbulltard1 The funniest part about all of it is the absolute monster quarters this thing is about to have for the year
