Dear @latimes This “aggressive video threatening @KarenBassLA & @nithyavraman” wouldn’t have been necessary had you done your job for all these years. And note that @spencerpratt isn’t making physical threats, as you insinuate - he’s making political/legal threats. Thank you.

🔥 This 👇 HAS to be the most EPIC “concession” speech in all of human history. @spencerpratt making it clear that his mission is now gaining fuel & he may just achieve more without being in elected office than being limited by formalities of working in city hall. He’s already done more to expose city corruption than anyone else. He’s already done more to expose California’s disastrous electoral system than anyone else. And now it appears that Spencer Pratt is just getting started. Getting out my popcorn 🍿 for what’s next! God bless this man!

Obama was a dumb person's conception of what a smart person looked like. Lots of fronting with, say, his book lists, but no evidence he ever read anything on more than a surface level. Bill Clinton, evil as he was, was both more intelligent and more intellectually curious than Obama. Clinton was known as a "policy wonk," a guy who intimately studied the details of governance, the nuances of legislation and rules. He was able to clearly communicate his political objectives in ways that demonstrated he knew what he was talking about. This only comes from a genuine intellectual curiosity about the world. Obama was never a policy wonk, though at times he fronted as one. He had no interest in the inner workings of government. If Clinton was the kind of guy to read a bill from front to back, memorizing every nuance and coming up with objections or suggestions, Obama was the kind of guy who ordered an intern to read it and write a CliffsNotes. The difference between the two men was the difference between reading the book versus reading the Wikipedia page. I have no doubt that if Obama were president today, he'd be using ChatGPT to summarize policy papers. Successful politicians in the pre-Trump era appealed to the prejudices of their constituencies. With Dubya, it was the false image of him as an everyday Joe, "the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer with." Stuff like the brush-clearing photo op outside his ranch, him hiring a voice coach to maintain his fake Texan accent, even arguably his malapropisms were used to reinforce this. In actuality, Bush was a deeply reflective individual who read voraciously. Obama's image was that of the pretentious NPR wannabe polymath, the kind who has a David Sedaris hardcover on their coffee table and self-consciously carries around a Moleskine notebook they bust out at Starbucks or on the train. 105 IQ pretending to be 150 IQ; a summary of the libtard mindset.

‘Obama kept up w the latest literary fiction.’ Lol. It’s impossible to overstate how recessionary our intellectual standards became starting around 2010. Obama was callow and performatively intellectual and libs, whose intellectual and cognitive capacity has declined precipitously in the past 25 years, loved having their vanity reflected off him and didn’t care how obviously shallow he was. Obama was an extraordinary talent in flattering people and making them feel a certain way about themselves. The guy came out of nowhere to become president of the Harvard Law Review (although of course he never published anything of note there) and he had a true genius for understanding the psychological needs of the public as a political performer. Libs get very touchy when you bring up Obama’s superficiality and shallowness because it implicates their own shallowness and lack of discernment and how they’ve also been coasting on the social performance of ‘intelligence’ rather than anything approaching intellectual rigor for quite a long time.

I don't think Graham Platner actually "is a Nazi" - i.e., someone who supports the goals of the German NSDAP political party. I think he is a former alcoholic mercenary, who got one of the most famous Nazi symbols as a tattoo to show he is a "killer," and is currently struggling with giant infidelity and woman-abuse scandals. Watching lib-fem type friends passionately support him is thus, still, very funny.

Angelenos don't mind dogs being tortured to death in the streets. They don't mind drug addicts ransacking their city, chasing out business, making them feel like inmates in their own city. They don't care. Why not? Well, cuz they get to wear shorts in February. That's it.

This is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. And what happens when society becomes overly decadent, it becomes stupid. We don’t want to honor the fallen “symbolically”. We want to honor them literally. Why is this such a hard concept for you to grasp? Is it not sexy enough for you? Not cool enough for you? If any of you are actual war veterans, then you would know that our brothers and sisters are only REALLY dead when we stop saying their names. You don’t even start saying their names though. You don’t want to fucking say them at all. Nobody cares about stupid “footsteps” where we can “walk beside them.” Stop overthinking this shit. You’re just pissing us all off even more. I’m thankful for you though. Because my living brothers and sisters haven’t been this united on something since 9/11. Now go back to the drawing board and unite us again; THE RIGHT WAY. This thing sucks in its current form. I have spoken.
Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation@GWOTMF

In the days and weeks ahead, we’ll be sharing more about the initial design concept and meaning behind the GWOT Memorial. One of the most important questions is how we will honor the fallen. Watch to see how we will ensure every sacrifice is remembered and no one is left behind.

I got a 57 on my ASVAB when I was 18 and could barely do basic math. Then I ended up studying computer science at the Naval Academy and took up to Calc 3, Chem 2, Physics 2, and am a nuclear submarine officer. Everything can be learned and mastered. Now math is super easy to me. But it was a brutal struggle at first. I put insane hours into studying to overcome my weaknesses but if I believed IQ tests and my past high school grades I would have never tried. You need to just say “screw it” and go all into whatever pursuit you want. Nothing less will do.

Let’s say the quiet part out loud: homeless drug addicts are being paid for their votes. They’re not suddenly putting down their govt-funded crack pipes and becoming political activists.
Ysabel Jurado@YsabelJuradoLA

Let's say the quiet part out loud: unhoused Angelenos CAN vote. Some people are looking at unhoused Angelenos legally registering to vote and asking whether those votes should count. Not because they’re ineligible, and not because they broke the law. Just because they’re homeless.
