"When should I start reaching out to coaches?" We get this question all the time. Our answer: Unless you're a JR in HS, then you shouldn't even be focused on it yet. Instead, work on improving your grades & game.

If you’re a coach who’s pushing kids under 13-years-old to specialize in one sport you’re likely only doing it to make yourself money.

I don’t think the problem is “being seen” … I think the problem is a lot of kids (and their parents) think they’re better than they really are. Many are actually being told (by coaches they pay) that they’re D1 athletes & they’re not even close. The transfer portal doesn’t lie.

2️⃣2️⃣s No FBS or FCS offers at this point??😫 Gotta start reaching out to D2-D3-NAIA-JUCO Start with schools in a 3-5 hour radius, see if they have your major.. and hit up those coaches NOW

If you’re getting contacted by D3 coaches and rudely telling them you’re ONLY interested in D1 programs don’t be surprised when D1 coaches find out and never show interest. Coaches constantly talk and circles are small. No coach, AT ANY LEVEL, wants an obnoxious ego maniac.

You’re not “uncommitted”, if you’re in middle school.

Go where you’ll play. Go where you’ll develop. Go where you can fail. If you’re optimizing for prestige over playing time, development and fun, you’re putting your long-term potential in jeopardy.
