De Jong had a difficult start to the season with some hard draws largely contributing to his start. He's dropped down to challenger level this week, for an event he's historically performed in, making the final last season and the QF in 2023. With two wins under his belt this week already, the second of which was very convincing I'm happy to ignore the overall record this season, considering we are taking at plus money.
Ruiz will have the crowd, he's also played well here previously but he has also been the heavy favourite in the majority of his matches here. When facing up against the higher end players his weaknesses show. De Jong could easily win the event this week and I don't view him as the underdog today
