Editor of an anti-quackery website with a strong focus on chiropractic (which needs to be defined unambiguously).

Neuro ICU nurse says she's seen 'so many' young healthy people disabled from chiropractic neck adjustments causing vertebral artery dissections/strokes. She later clarified: 9 cases in 5 years at a level 1 trauma/stroke center. That's not 'so many' — that's literally a handful over half a decade in one of the busiest high-acuity units possible. Statistically rare event + massive selection bias = dramatic anecdote. The 1-in-millions risk isn't BS, her framing is.
