I try my best to stay professional at all times but some kind of stories clients bring ehn 😩. A man came to the pharmacy during my locum cover and complained of discharge from one of his ears. It’s obviously out of my scope so I referred him to a hospital to get seen by a ENT specialist. He goes “but you don’t know what happened nau, how are you sure you can’t treat it?” So I say “okay sir, what happened?” The story is that his wife went through his phone while he was fast asleep and saw explicit videos of him and his girlfriend doing the do, so she gave him a very hot slap on his face that forced him awake. The ear on the part of the face that received the slap had been ringing, and now it’s bringing out discharge. Community pharmacists are really trying if these are the kind of stories they have to listen to everyday and still keep a straight face.
