@CBS8 Anaphylactic in nature. This is a not uncommon occurrence in the hospital, and the patient's history of mental illness /schizophrenia may have lead to misinformation given to the pharmacist. This is an extremely unfortunate event, but it's not apparent to me how the blame falls

@CBS8 As an allergist that frequently does hospital consultations, this case is difficult to place the sole blame on the prescribing physician. It sounds as though he initially avoided the medication, but someone did further research and decided the reported reaction previously was not
