@MikeSington she is trash, but it's sad to think that the people who elected her are the same.

@robreiner why would you refuse to believe this? Humans are horrible. Most are loving this vindictive attitude and wishing they could get away with acting in a similar manner.

@azfamily Domestic calls are the worst. Most the time the abused stay with the abuser. They don't seem to be able to leave.

@MelissaJeanSays I used to compare my pain level to childbirth. but then I had pain where I was in the hospital with a morphine drip, frantically pushing that button. I also just generally go with an 8. yes, when I first wake up it might only be a 3, but I am here because it goes to 8.
English

Dr: What's your pain level?
Me: It's like I'm being stabbed in the back.
Dr: OK, but on a scale of 1 to 10...
Me: It's a sharp pain that comes and goes like I'm being stabbed in the back by an an attempted murderer throughout the day.
Dr: OK, but if you had to rate the pain would you say... what number?
Me: It's like someone's trying to kill me every so often for no reason with a very sharp knife and they even twist it sometimes to torture me cause I'm not quite dead yet.
Dr: So, on a scale of 1 to 10 your pain would be?
Me: (slight pause) I don't know.
Dr: Pick a number, any number.
Me: Well, that's hard cause when it's not sharp it's a dull pain so how can I...
Dr: How about 7, would you say 7? ...8?
[Door opens and a nurse peeks her head in]
Nurse: Leading the witness!
[Dr and patient glance up, Dr waves the nurse away with his hand and she disappears closing the door]
Me: I don't remember what each number means do you have that chart?
Dr: No, it's just a scale, a scale of 1 to 10.
Me: But each number has a meaning, and they're divided into sections, what do they mean?
Dr: We have to have a number to put in your permanent record even if you don't quite understand the meaning of it all.
Me: The thing is, it's not stabbing me all the time. Sometimes it's just dull and achy.
Dr: How about 5? do I hear a 5? or a 7? Do I hear a 7? Going once, going twice...
[Nurse opens the door again]
Nurse: Sold!
[Patient painfully gets up, closes the door in her face and stands with her back to it.]
Me: No, it's not, "Sold!" I don't know! I'm not sure.
Dr: You need to make a decision.
Me: Can I pick two numbers? One for...
Dr: No!
Me: No?
Dr: Only one per patient per visit.
Me: Hm. [Patient sits back down again] It does interfere with daily life. What's that number?
Dr: How many times do I have to say, "I don't have the chart!"
Me: But you know what the numbers mean, don't you?
Dr: (slight pause) No.
Me: No?
Dr: 10 is extremely painful and 1 is not much pain at all.
Me: A nurse showed me a chart one time which was pretty specific.
Dr: The nurse outside the door?
Me: No, it was a different one. She had blue eyes. I took a picture of it. Maybe it's still in my phone. But it was, at least, a year ago. [She starts searching through her iPhone pics]
Dr: We don't have time for this. I need to put a number in the computer. Now.
Me: Well, which one is for excruciating pain which is also sometimes dull and not that bad, but overall it does interfere with daily life?
Dr: I don't know. That's for you to decide and me to type in your chart.
Me: Why do you need a number?
Dr. I need a number so we can understand your pain level and use it for comparison in the future.
Me: I don't want to exaggerate but I don't want to play it down.
Dr: Just be honest.
Me: Be honest... it's not really about honesty, it's just, it's all relative.
Dr: Your mom?
Me: No.
Dr: Your dad?
Me: No.
Dr: Your 2nd cousin once removed?
Me: No. What are talking about?
Dr: I'm talking numbers! It's all about numbers! I don't care how many relatives you have!
Me: This is so confusing. OK, I guess, I'll go with... 6.
Dr: 6. OK... [He types it into the computer]
Me: No, wait, 7.
Dr: Too late!
Me: I never did like numbers games.

“It’s called summer. It’s no hotter right now than it’s ever been. This world’s not heating up, come on.”

Aluminum is an infinitely recyclable material: it takes up to 95% less energy to recycle it than to produce primary aluminum
Today, about 75% of all aluminum produced in history, nearly a billion tons, is still in use
This is how alluminum pots are made

Meet Marty Decole “Cole” Wagner. He is the former chairman of an Alabama Anti-abortion group, “Alliance for a Pro-Life Alabama” and was until recently employed by the Alabama State Department of Education.
He always emphasized the need to protect the lives of embryos, fetuses, and children.
Wagner was just indicted last month on charges of sexual abuse of a child who was under the age of 10.
Wagner has been freed on $60,000 bond and only faces between 2 - 20 years in prison.
It's hypocrisy like this that drives me insane.
How much time in prison should this guy get?
