@WhimsicottVG @Wiltank When you need to make a team of 6 and account for items, stats, megas, moves... etc that adds up fast though. Then you're back to square 1 with competitive mons having a high barrier to entry. I hope that rewards would outweigh 200vp because it seems like a huge grind.

people being disengenous and defending the grind by saying “if you actually like playing, this is nothing” seem to be missing the fact that the grind has to take place without the items and megas you want

@WhimsicottVG @Wiltank When you say the grind is not bad and the cost of items is relatively low, where does that info come from? I'm just saying daily rewards would need to significantly outweigh 200 pts / battle.

@BushVGC @Wiltank But that’s assuming we only get 200 per win and nothing else anywhere in the game. With VP buying pretty much everything, why would they make it so scarce? There are more likely than not multiple ways to get it, and it’s not useful to make broad assumptions about the game now.

@WhimsicottVG @Wiltank If you want a pokemon (from home) with 4 moves, a mega stone, 252/252 spreads and a nature, you have to play 24 games to get it. They would need to be really generous with daily rewards to actually make this game accessible.

@Wiltank The grind is NOT that bad. It’s not an absurd amount of time, and the stones and items are cheap all things considered. I’m sure there’s more ways to earn currency beyond JUST playing ladder. A typical free to play model has daily quests that reward currency.

Finished TOP24 in Japan Nationals.
I didn't have enough time to practice so I used CIR+Incin,Rilla and Urshi team.

@DhSufi @VGCTLadder I think the core issue is that the scene has grown more toxic / competitive since t75 was introduced, and some people are weaponizing results to tear others down. It is something I have experienced since I did well at a SPE. Not the creator's fault.

@VGCTLadder The word "competition" necessarily implies a distributive test. Before entering into a competition, those implications must be very consciously recognized.
Ptladder works exclusively with publicly available information from official sources.

Didn't think it would happen but I qualified for Worlds with 1054 CP!
At the end of the season, my performance fell off a bit. Because I was at 900+, I was more lax with practice, which culminated in me losing out on the win-and-in. I am still very proud to have made 3 top cuts.
