True. Even though I disagree with Ben Shapiro on many things, you have to admire how he started at the bottom rung of society, and through tenacity, hard work, and a stick-to-it attitude, he pulled himself up by his bootstraps and attained success by the sweat of his own brow.
Just kidding. He is the child of Hollywood insiders who gave him every imaginable head start and his popularity was almost entirely manufactured through ad buys on Facebook.
And who purchased those ads? They were funded by The Daily Wire, which was itself funded by Dan and Farris Wilks, the billionaire Texas brothers who made their fortune in fracking.
And why did the Wilks brothers choose to pour millions of dollars into the creation of right-wing influencers? Because they saw Ben Shapiro as a delivery mechanism for content engineered to turn their billionaire theology, culture-war paranoia, and plutocratic self-interest into a brand.
At every stage of his rise, there has been big greasy wads of money pushing him into our feeds and our faces. Where would he be today if he were born some broke loser? He'd probably still be just that.
Now he wants to cast everyone who struggles as lazy, even though he's never had to work for shit. Everything he has was handed to him by people who saw that he was the perfect empty vessel to spew their repulsive elitist garbage disguised as oxymoronical "right-wing populism."
Fuck this little smarmy bitch.
