While there are things to like about Zcash, there are also several weaknesses that keep us from being bullish on it: - You have to pay extra to use Zcash’s privacy feature. After last cycle’s race to the bottom on gas fees, users just won’t use an expensive chain. - Zcash is a clone of Bitcoin, so it inherited all of its limitations, making it a poor vehicle to extend the programmable privacy benefits beyond just making simple payments. - $ZEC’s big rally is quite likely in the rearview mirror.
