1⃣ Setup Guide: How To Connect Nansen With Claude
➡️ Step A:
Go to agents.nansen.ai/?promoCode=Cha… and click button Get API Key
Copy and paste this API key somewhere to use it in next steps (you will paste this API key later inside Claude AI tool).
➡️ Step B:
You have 3 ways to connect.
Easiest options for most is to connect with Nansen MCP (and using AI tool like Claude).
Click on link MCP Setup Guide and just follow instructions in
Installation Guide
1. Claude Desktop
Download Nansen's .dxt file (you will add it in Claude after you install Claude Desktop).
➡️ Step C:
Install Claude Desktop at Claude .ai website - by clicking button Download desktop app.
Once you have Claude Desktop app running on your desktop, then you double click on Nansen's .dxt file and choose to open it with Claude Desktop.
Or once you in Claude desktop, go to Settings > Extensions and just drag & drop Nansen's .dxt file to install.
During installation of .dxt file, you will need to paste Nansen's API key.
Last optional step is to go to Settings > Extensions and click Configure button (right of where you see Nansen).
Simply choose which of the Nansen tools you want to give permission to always allow to connect with Claude.
And that's it - you have everything connected and can start with your first text prompt, for Claude to connect with Nansen real time on-chain data and give you results.
2⃣ Prompt that I use for analyzing what smart traders are trading on Hyperliquid
Here's the prompt ⤵️
Tell me latest top Smart Trader and Fund Perp Trades on Hyperliquid, sorted by trade size in USD.
Top 2 results I got, you can see in pic in this post.
Claude also adds not just data from Nansen for top trades but also gives its own analysis 🧠

Trader 58bro is aggressively building and managing a large BTC short position, with individual trades ranging from $1.3M–$7.5M. This is the dominant signal in this dataset.
Overall, bearish BTC sentiment is the clearest signal from smart money right now.

Getting such quick results saves you a lot of time doing your own research.
But I still like to go that extra mile of doing my own manual research & analysis - as a final step before I enter or pass on a trade or an investment.
In this case study of latest top smart trades - I opened Nansen's Token God Mode for Bitcoin trading on Hyperliquid.
This lets me quickly see positioning of cohorts such as Smart Money, Whales, Public Figures - as well as wallets labels having largest BTC trade positions.
